The Nauru Embassy in China held its opening ceremony in Beijing on March 31st. Nauru's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Angming, made a special trip to China to attend the opening ceremony. Foreign Minister Angming stated in Beijing that Nauru's adherence to the One China principle will not waver in the slightest, and he looks forward to continuing to expand cooperation in various fields between the two sides and pushing the bilateral relationship to a new level. On January 24, 2024, China and Nauru resumed diplomatic relations on the basis of the One China principle, opening a new chapter in their bilateral relationship. Nauru became the 183rd country to establish diplomatic relations with China.
