On the afternoon of March 27th, the Ministry of National Defense held a regular press conference, and Colonel Wu Qian, Director of the News Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense and spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, released information. On March 26-27, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense held the first International Military Cooperation Department Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Qingdao, Shandong Province in 2025. More than 30 representatives from the defense departments of member states and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization attended. All parties exchanged in-depth views on practical cooperation in defense and security of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, expressed their willingness to maintain close communication and coordination, and prepare for the upcoming 2025 SCO member states' defense ministers' meeting in China. The Chinese MND hosted the first meeting of International Military Cooperation Organs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States for 2025 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, from March 26 to 27.
