According to the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province, on March 22, a large fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle took off from the training airspace of Zhuhai and successfully completed the country's first 700MHz airborne emergency communication base station test for broadcasting and television, opening a new chapter in Guangdong's emergency communication support work in extreme situations such as "circuit breakers, power outages, and network disconnections" (hereinafter referred to as "three disconnections"). The test lasted from 2:06 am to 4:41 am on March 22, and the large fixed wing drone conducted multiple rounds of testing in an orderly manner at an altitude of 4 kilometers and a hovering radius of 4.8 kilometers. The test results show that the signal coverage area is 72 square kilometers, the voice call quality is stable, the SMS sending and receiving function is normal, and the overall communication performance is good. It is reported that under the unified command and dispatch of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, the Provincial Emergency Management Department has fully played its role in overall coordination, jointly promoting this innovative application task with the Provincial Communication Management Bureau and other departments, as well as China Radio and Television, Guangdong Mobile and others. The success of this test not only solves the problem of public emergency communication in extreme situations such as "three disconnections", but also injects new impetus into the development of China's emergency communication field. It is reported that previously, the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province had organized the completion of on-site testing of large fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicles and medium-sized composite wing unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with three network networks (China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom). The public network covered clear voice calls and normal SMS sending and receiving. The successful test of carrying a 700MHz emergency communication payload further enriches the means of emergency communication support and provides stronger technical support for dealing with extreme situations such as "three disconnections". The application of this technology can quickly achieve a wider coverage of emergency communication public network, ensuring smooth communication between emergency rescue command and all parties, while ensuring that disaster stricken people timely report safety information to the outside world. The Guangdong Provincial Department of Emergency Management stated that it will take this successful flight test as an opportunity to continuously deepen innovation in emergency communication technology, enhance emergency communication support capabilities, promote high-quality development of emergency management in Guangdong with high-level emergency communication support capabilities, and contribute Guangdong wisdom to the construction of the national emergency communication system.
