This year is my 18th year as a deputy to the National People's Congress. Being in the Great Hall of the People, I feel familiar and cordial, and my sense of responsibility as a deputy to the National People's Congress arises spontaneously. As a researcher in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, I deeply understand the importance of inheriting and innovating traditional Chinese medicine. I am also aware of my responsibility to speak out for the needs of the people, work hard for the cause of traditional Chinese medicine, and provide suggestions for the development of the country. This year's government work report proposes to develop new quality productive forces according to local conditions, and emphasizes the promotion of integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation. These discussions have strengthened our confidence in promoting the "Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine New Quality Productivity Science and Technology Innovation Project", and also clarified our work focus, which is to introduce artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing technology, lead by standards, and iteratively upgrade the traditional traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing industry, helping to cultivate new quality productivity. I firmly believe that traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of the Chinese nation and an important support for the construction of a healthy China. Among them, the inheritance and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine have always been the core focus of my attention. During my tenure of over a decade, I submitted dozens of proposals and suggestions related to traditional Chinese medicine, covering various fields such as legislation, talent cultivation, traditional Chinese medicine industry, and technological innovation in traditional Chinese medicine. The relevant departments attach great importance to my suggestions and actively promote their implementation. For example, in 2010, my suggestion of "the government vigorously promoting the development of the health service industry" was adopted, and relevant departments invited me to participate in relevant planning and policy research and demonstration work. Nowadays, the "health service industry" has formed an industrial scale of trillions. Previously, my proposal to accelerate the legislation of traditional Chinese medicine, which I have put forward several times, has also been taken seriously. I also participated in the research and argumentation work on the legislation of traditional Chinese medicine as a result. In 2016, the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine" was passed, which effectively promoted the development of traditional Chinese medicine. In recent years, the country has paid high attention to the development of traditional Chinese medicine and introduced a series of supportive policies. The Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Promoting the Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine clearly state that "we will vigorously promote the improvement of the quality of traditional Chinese medicine and the high-quality development of the industry". This greatly inspired me and strengthened my determination to strive for the cause of traditional Chinese medicine. At this year's Two Sessions, I will focus on four topics: firstly, accelerating the establishment of a protection system for classic Chinese medicine formulas; Secondly, strengthen the popularization of traditional Chinese medicine; Thirdly, promote the deep integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern technology to form new quality productive forces; Fourth, improve the medical insurance catalog, implement universal and powerful drugs. Taking the deep integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern technology as an example, I believe that we should seize the opportunity of the development of artificial intelligence, systematically plan the intelligent strategic layout and standard system of the pharmaceutical industry, formulate development strategies for the next 5 to 10 years, establish a "Pharmaceutical AI Industry Promotion Joint Working Group", regularly hold joint meetings, and solve problems such as policy linkage, standard unification, and regulatory coordination. At the same time, relevant departments can implement incentive policies for the transformation of achievements, enabling artificial intelligence pharmaceutical technology achievements to move faster from laboratories to production lines, and promoting the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry.
