2025-02-26

On the 25th, the Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum, in collaboration with multiple universities and units, officially launched the "Hundred Schools Alliance" science education quality improvement activity and the first theme science popularization activity of the school year. On that day, more than 100 teachers and students from Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Transportation, Urumqi No.10 Middle School, No.14 Primary School, No.35 Primary School and other schools gathered at the Science and Technology Museum to jointly launch innovative practices in science education for the new semester. On the first day of the event, the first floor exhibition hall of Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum simultaneously launched two themed temporary exhibitions. I am willing to dedicate myself to the country - Exhibition of Wang Ganchang's Life Stories "showcases the struggle of Academician Wang Ganchang, the founding member of the" Two Bombs and One Satellite "program, in the field of nuclear science through historical photos, scientific research manuscripts, and literature materials. The students stopped to listen to the explanation and appreciate the spirit and character of the older generation of scientists who love their country, dedicate themselves, and bravely climb new heights. Another exhibition, "Medical Assistance to the People - Ancient and Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine Tour Exhibition," presents the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine culture through the combination of cultural relics and multimedia, deepening young people's understanding of traditional scientific wisdom. The Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum has designed a variety of activities around three main themes: the immersion of scientists' spirit, practical exploration, and interdisciplinary integration. The ideological and political courses in the science museum combine the stories of scientists with the core socialist values, guiding students to establish their aspirations of serving the country through science and technology; The science classes in the science museum allow students to experience scientific principles through hands-on experiments in projects such as maglev and robot programming; The "Soaring into the Skies" scientific experiment show showcased the Bernoulli effect, liquid nitrogen experiments, and other fun interactive activities, causing waves of astonishment. Zhang Shaohua, deputy curator of Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum, said that the event was an important measure for the Science and Technology Museum to give play to its resource advantages and help implement the "double reduction" policy. Through the "Hundred Schools Alliance" platform, the science museum will carry out regular cooperation between the museum and the school, providing support for curriculum development, teacher training, and promoting the transformation of science education from "knowledge imparting" to "literacy cultivation". It is reported that the theme science popularization activity for the first lesson of the school year has deeply rooted the spirit of science and patriotism in students' hearts through scene based and interactive design.
