The 38th Chairman's Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of the 17th. Chairman Zhao Leji presided over the meeting. The meeting decided that the 14th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress would be held in Beijing from February 24 to 25. An important task of the 14th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress is to prepare for the upcoming 3rd Session of the 14th National People's Congress. The Council of Chairmen suggested that the fourteenth session of the Standing Committee should consider the draft work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the proposal of the Council of Chairmen on submitting the draft agenda for the third session of the fourteenth National People's Congress, the proposal on submitting the draft list of the presidium and the secretary-general of the third session of the fourteenth National People's Congress, and the proposal on submitting the draft list of non voting personnel for the third session of the fourteenth National People's Congress. The agenda of the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee proposed by the Chairman's Meeting also includes: deliberation on the draft law on the promotion of private economy, deliberation on the proposal of the State Council to submit for deliberation the revised draft of the Civil Aviation Law, deliberation on the report of the Deputies' Qualification Examination Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the qualifications of individual representatives and relevant appointment and removal proposals. The Chairman's Meeting also deliberated on the draft of the working method for the filing and examination of financial budget matters, and deliberated on the 2024 report of the NPC organs on the work of people's petition. At the Chairman's Meeting, Liu Qi, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, reported on the draft agenda and schedule of the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee and the third session of the 14th National People's Congress, as well as the agenda, the draft list of the presidium and the Secretary General, and the draft list of non voting personnel. Relevant Deputy Secretaries General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, relevant special committees of the National People's Congress, relevant working committees of the Standing Committee, the Deputies Qualification Committee of the Standing Committee, and heads of research offices of the General Office made reports on relevant topics of the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee. Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Hongzhong, Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Ding Zhongli, Hao Mingjin, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tie Ning, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Luosanjiang Village, and Shekelaiti Zacker attended the meeting.
