Hong Kong will launch the Innovation and Technology Industry Guidance Fund

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced on the 10th that a total of HKD 10 billion "Innovation and Technology Industry Guidance Fund" will be launched to strengthen the guidance of market funds to invest in designated strategic emerging and future industries. The Hong Kong Institute of Applied Science and Technology held the first Applied Science and Technology Summit in Hong Kong on that day. Li Jiachao stated in his video speech that the current SAR government has been implementing forward-looking policies in the field of innovation and technology, constantly moving towards the vision of an international innovation and technology center. The series of measures taken by the SAR government will help new startups, researchers, and investors turn bold ideas into reality. Li Jiachao said that the "Innovation and Technology Industry Guidance Fund" will strengthen the guidance of market funds to invest in designated strategic emerging and future industries. The "New Industrial Acceleration Plan" launched by the current Special Administrative Region government aims to accelerate the industrialization of research and development achievements in areas such as life and health technology and advanced manufacturing. Li Jiachao stated that the northern metropolitan area will become the future growth engine, and the Hong Kong Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park under construction in the Hetao District will create unprecedented opportunities for cross-border innovation and technology cooperation.
