The 2025 China Culture and Tourism IP Authorization Series Event, hosted by China Culture and Media Group and Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will focus on regional IP authorization exchange activities and be held in Beijing on the 8th. The organizer introduced that the 2025 series of activities for Chinese cultural and tourism IP authorization includes key regional IP authorization exchange activities (Henan, Chongqing), online lectures on "Cultural Trade Going Global: New Opportunities, Challenges, and Strategies for the Authorization Industry", the 4th "China Opportunities" special event of the Asian Authorization Industry Conference, and the "Mainland China Pavilion" of the Hong Kong International Authorization Exhibition. The Hong Kong International Authorization Exhibition will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from April 28th to 30th. It is reported that at the 2024 China Cultural and Tourism IP Authorization Series event, more than 120 participating units from across the country brought hundreds of IP projects and brand products including cultural and museum, intangible cultural heritage, art, cultural tourism, animation, etc., with a total intention to cooperate of nearly 10 million yuan. This is the first time that an offline exchange activity has been carried out, which provides a more intuitive introduction to the knowledge of the authorization industry, shares experiences in authorization cooperation, actively links exchanges and cooperation between mainland China and Hong Kong, and lays the foundation for the 2025 series of cultural and tourism IP authorization activities in China. Xu Haijun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Culture and Media Group, stated that based on the significant achievements of the 2024 China Culture and Tourism IP authorization series activities, China Culture and Media Group will fully utilize its advantages in resource integration, publicity and promotion in 2025, rely on the series of activities to promote mainland cultural and tourism units and high-quality cultural IP to enter the international market, promote cultural brands to go global, deepen cultural industry upgrading, and innovate cultural trade development. At the same time, we will take a series of activities as an opportunity to promote long-term and deep cooperation between mainland China and Hong Kong in the field of cultural IP authorization, and help spread and promote Chinese culture globally. Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Mainland China Representative, Chung Wing Hei, introduced the overall plan for the 2025 series of activities and also stated that Hong Kong has a sound intellectual property protection system and a large number of professional talents. Hong Kong enterprises have international advantages in creative design, market promotion, licensing services, international communication, and other aspects. As an international financial center, Hong Kong can provide sufficient financial support and broad market space for the development of cultural industries. In addition, in November 2024, the SAR government released the "Blueprint for the Development of Arts and Creative Industries", which outlines a clear vision for the future development of Hong Kong's cultural, artistic, and creative industries. During the experience sharing session, Zhang Ting, the authorized person in charge of CCTV Animation IP, and Zhang Zhengcai, the executive vice president of Fengshi Group in China, shared their successful cases and practices. The launch ceremony of the 2025 China Cultural and Tourism IP Authorization Series was also held on site. (New Society)
