It is reported that in recent times, the cyberspace administration has been carrying out in-depth rectification work, comprehensively cleaning up all kinds of illegal and irregular information related to "opening boxes", strictly punishing accounts and groups that spread related content, punishing three large website platforms according to law and procedures, organizing key website platforms to regularly issue governance notices, publicize typical cases, and report illegal and criminal clues to public security organs. The relevant officials of the Cyberspace Administration of China stated that illegally obtaining and disclosing personal information of others through methods such as "opening boxes" is suspected of illegal and criminal activities, and its nature is extremely malicious. Next, the Cyberspace Administration of China will continue to emphasize both high-intensity crackdown and high-intensity protection, and focus on rectifying the problem of "opening boxes". We will make every effort to block communication channels, urge website platforms to thoroughly clean up all kinds of illegal publication of personal information, and induce netizens to follow up and leak privacy information. Any accounts or groups that incite "unboxing" or provide "unboxing" services will be closed or dissolved. At the same time, the Cyberspace Administration of China will guide website platforms to further upgrade and improve protective measures, increase the risk warning of "opening boxes", set up a fast track entry for reporting "opening boxes", timely verify complaints and reports from netizens, and help netizens prevent and deal with the risk of "opening boxes" to the maximum extent possible.
