The 2025 China ASEAN Media Cooperation Forum, with the theme of "jointly promoting 'intelligence', 'quality', disseminating 'data', and writing a new chapter of cooperation", was held in Luoyang, Henan on the 25th. More than 150 people, including government officials, experts, scholars, and media representatives from China and 10 ASEAN countries, attended. The attendees discussed the opportunities and challenges brought by artificial intelligence technology to media ecological governance, focusing on the topics of "Collaboration and Co governance: Strengthening the Defense Line against False Information" and "Opportunities and Reshaping: Media Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence". They believed that Chinese and ASEAN media should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, be companions in digital era media ecological governance, and contribute to building a closer China ASEAN community with a shared future. This forum is hosted by the China Foreign Languages Administration and the China ASEAN Center. The forum released the "Joint Initiative on China ASEAN Application of Artificial Intelligence Technology to Promote Media Ecological Governance" and launched the "China ASEAN New Media Sharing Plan".
