Currently, tickets for this train are only available for offline purchase. You can purchase tickets at ticket counters at stations such as Guilin North, Nanning, Chongzuo, and Pingxiang with your passport. Passengers need to apply for a paper visa or prepare visa free documents in advance, and handle customs clearance at the Pingxiang and Tongdeng Port stations in China and Vietnam respectively. The in car broadcasting is conducted in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English, and all trains are equipped with soft sleeper cabins. Each soft sleeper compartment can accommodate 4 passengers. The operation time of evening departure and morning arrival can save passengers' accommodation costs at night, especially suitable for cross-border tourism, business and other travel. Train conductor Zhang Huasheng introduced that there are differences in railway gauge between China and Vietnam, but this international train can achieve transit without changing trains because "track fitting technology" is used on the Vietnamese section of the line, allowing trains with two different gauge to travel on the same line. It is reported that international passenger trains between Nanning, China and Hanoi (Jialin) Station in Vietnam began operating on January 1, 2009. In early February 2020, China Vietnam international passenger trains were temporarily suspended. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, as well as the "China Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year". Both sides will leverage the mechanism of the China Vietnam Railway Cooperation Joint Committee to effectively implement the intergovernmental agreement on cross-border standard gauge railway cooperation projects and promote the connectivity of China Vietnam cross-border standard gauge railways.
