On May 26th, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and eight other departments released the "Special Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Smart Supply Chain", which clarifies the need to accelerate the development of smart supply chain in key areas such as agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, promote the reduction of logistics costs for the whole society, and cultivate a number of leading companies and supply chain center cities in smart supply chain. The Action Plan focuses on five key areas including agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, and proposes to support the development of agricultural product supply chain service providers and the construction of digital commodity markets; Collaborate to build a batch of intelligent factories and smart supply chains, and carry out a special action to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence; Enhance the integration capability of the wholesale industry supply chain, and provide comprehensive services such as raw material procurement, warehousing and logistics for upstream and downstream customers and industrial clusters; Support retail enterprises to integrate omnichannel information through digital technology, accelerate the feedback speed of consumer information to brand owners and manufacturers, and guide the development of "personalized customization+flexible production"; Promote the reduction of logistics costs for the whole society, promote facilities and equipment such as intelligent three-dimensional warehouses, automatic guided vehicles, and unmanned delivery vehicles, and support the integrated development of trade, port, and shipping. By 2030, a replicable and promotable model for the construction and development of digital supply chains will be formed, and a deeply embedded, intelligent, efficient, and independently controllable digital supply chain system will be established in important industries and key fields. About 100 leading national digital supply chain enterprises will be cultivated, and the resilience and security level of China's industrial and supply chains will be further improved. (New Society)
