On May 22nd, landslides occurred in Changshi Town and Qingyang Village, Guowa Township, Dafang County, Guizhou Province. Two people are trapped in the landslide in Changshi Town. Public security, emergency, fire and other departments have successively arrived at the scene to carry out search and rescue work. At around 10am, more than 60 officers and soldiers from the early stage of the Bijie detachment of the People's Armed Police rushed to the front line with professional equipment such as life detectors, flexible tube scopes, and dismantling tools to carry out rescue operations. According to relevant departments, it is preliminarily determined that more than ten people from eight households in Building 6 are trapped. The mountain terrain on site is relatively high and the slope is steep, making rescue efforts difficult at present. The specific number of trapped people is still under further verification. The Emergency Management Department has initiated a Level 4 national geological disaster emergency response and dispatched a working group to the scene for guidance. (New Society)
