The 2025 Global Prosperity Summit will be held in Hong Kong from the 19th to the 21st. The 2025 Global Prosperity Summit is jointly organized by Huixian Think Tank Policy Research Center, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, and Hong Kong European Business Association. At the special discussion on "The Bridge Role of Hong Kong in a Changing World" held on the 21st, Vikram Channer, Vice President of Warner Bros. Exploration Group and Editor in Chief for Greater China and Southeast Asia, believed that the world is entering a "reset" stage, and Hong Kong can seize the opportunity to play its role with the unique advantages of "One Country, Two Systems". Craig Allen, Senior Advisor at Cohen Group in the United States, stated that Hong Kong's spirit of economic openness and free trade philosophy are the city's strengths. Hong Kong can leverage its profound cultural wealth to establish its international positioning more clearly, further enhancing its status and reputation. Allen believes that Hong Kong plays an important role in trade, finance, and cultural exchanges through its role as a "super contact". Hong Kong's soft power cannot be ignored, such as movies, cuisine, and popular culture, which are highly popular worldwide and showcase the unique charm of Chinese culture. In an interview, Inachi Amat, President of the Hong Kong European Business Association, pointed out that Hong Kong has always been an international hub city with unique advantages in connecting China and the world. It can further leverage its soft power and deepen cooperation and exchanges with various parts of the world by utilizing its expertise in art, culture, and finance. The Global Prosperity Summit, first held in Hong Kong in 2024, has become an important platform for international exchanges. At the opening ceremony on the 20th, the initiator of the summit and chairman of the Huixian Think Tank Council, Regina Ip, stated that Hong Kong, as a hub for global trade and exchanges, plays a unique bridging role in promoting communication and bridging differences. The summit aims to present the true story of Hong Kong to the world and promote a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's diverse roles by the international community. Wu Hailong, President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, delivered a keynote speech on "Contemporary China and the World" at the conference.
