Jia Ju said that he once studied abroad at Hohai University in China and later went to other countries for learning and exchange, but his favorite is still China. When visiting cities in China, he felt relaxed and secure, and even when encountering difficulties, hospitable Chinese people would always help him. Chinese has become a bridge for strengthening communication and cooperation between China and Africa. Due to his ability to speak Chinese, Jia Ju made many Chinese friends in The Gambia and often made guest appearances as a translator. Due to his language proficiency and understanding of Chinese culture, Jia Ju was selected as a representative of young and middle-aged military officers for this delegation's visit. During the event, the technological innovation achievements of the National University of Defense Technology left a deep impression on Jia Ju. China has made remarkable achievements in scientific research fields such as maglev, Beidou satellite navigation, and supercomputers, which are truly impressive. Jia Ju expressed his hope to have the opportunity to continue studying and further his education in China in the future. Among the delegation, Malian officers Koumado and Xie Maigao had studied abroad at the Army Engineering University.
