On March 31st, a self owned international road transport (TIR) system truck loaded with intelligent electronic products from Shenzhen enterprise Huapengfei Co., Ltd. departed for Almaty, Kazakhstan. This is the first time that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area has adopted locally owned TIR vehicles for cross-border freight transportation, marking a new level of connectivity between the Greater Bay Area and Central Asia. It is understood that the TIR system is based on the United Nations Convention on International Road Transport and has a convenient mechanism of one declaration, one certificate to the end, and one direct train. In recent years, it has become an important link in international trade. The person in charge of Shenzhen Customs introduced that through innovative measures such as "7 × 24-hour appointment clearance" and "intelligent release inspection", TIR goods can be cleared quickly within 2 hours. We will also maintain contact and cooperation with the customs at the port, prepare the exit inspection and release plan in advance, and ensure efficient customs clearance of goods, "said Deng Xiaopeng, head of the Shenzhen Customs Port Supervision Department. The reporter learned that TIR can reduce the transportation time from Shenzhen to Almaty to 6 days, which is half of railway transportation; The freight rate is slightly more expensive than railway, but only 1/4 of air freight. Zhang Jingyu, the chairman of Huapengfei Co., Ltd., the carrier of this transportation, said that as the first enterprise in the Greater Bay Area to have its own TIR vehicles, relying on intelligent logistics management system and the national transportation network covering the "the Belt and Road", the company will focus on promoting the deep integration of TIR with cross-border e-commerce, high-end manufacturing and other industries in the future, and work with partners in the Greater Bay Area to help "China's smart manufacturing" go to sea efficiently. The relevant person in charge of the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau stated that the TIR model will complement the China Europe freight train, sea freight, and air freight, helping Shenzhen to fill the road freight link in the "land sea air rail" international three-dimensional logistics network, build a "land sea air rail" three-dimensional logistics network in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and enhance the regional logistics supply chain radiation capability.
