The Hong Kong Talent Service Office, under the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, recently announced that it has officially joined Xiaohongshu to share the latest talent policies, employment and life information in Hong Kong with authoritative information, and assist mainland talents in settling in Hong Kong smoothly. The Hong Kong SAR government has launched a series of active measures to attract talents since 2022, including the "High end Talent Pass Scheme" (Gaocai Pass Scheme). As of the end of February 2025, a total of 450000 applications have been received for various talent entry programs, of which over 290000 have been approved, and approximately 196000 talents have arrived in Hong Kong during the same period. In the official announcement video of Xiaohongshu released by the Hong Kong Talent Office, Sun Yuhan, Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the Hong Kong SAR Government, appeared together with two virtual spokespersons. The names of the two virtual spokespersons are taken from the first letter of the English name "Talent Engage" of the Hong Kong Talent Office. Among them, "T Sir" will release authoritative information and refute false information; Sister E mainly provides thoughtful and practical information on living in Hong Kong to support talents to settle down smoothly and develop with peace of mind. At present, the Hong Kong Talent Office's Xiaohongshu account has updated about 40 notes, covering Cantonese learning, job advice, anti fraud strategies, and international talent story sharing, hoping to reach mainland talents through mainland social media. In addition, the Hong Kong Talent Office also continued to share posts on WeChat official account, providing various suggestions for talents from all over the world to settle in Hong Kong.
