Yesterday morning, the opening ceremony of the Sino Thai "Blue Assault 2025" naval joint training was held at a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong. In this joint training, the Chinese side dispatched Kunming ship, Qilian Mountain ship, Xuchang ship, Tianmen ship, comprehensive submarine rescue ship Xiangyanghu ship, and carrier based helicopter to participate in the training. The Thai troops participating in the training include the landing ship "Hongtong", the escort ships "Kelabali" and "Zhaopiye", and the patrol ship "Bashufu". China and Thailand also sent over a hundred Marine Corps members to participate in the training. During the joint training period, participating officers and soldiers will differentiate between sea and land directions and conduct multiple training exercises such as joint anti mine operations, sea strikes, maritime search and rescue, light weapon shooting, combat, and field survival. The joint training will end on April 2nd. This is the sixth time that the navies of the two countries have held this series of joint training. This joint training is an important practice to deepen the implementation of the consultation consensus between China and Thailand, aiming to further deepen practical cooperation, enhance joint action capabilities, and play a positive role in maintaining regional maritime security. The Chinese commander stated that this joint training is closely related to actual combat, further expanding the training courses, optimizing the collaborative mode, highlighting the improvement of collaborative communication, rapid response, and emergency response capabilities, consolidating and deepening mutual trust and friendship between the two sides, continuously promoting the exchange and mutual learning of training experience, and injecting new momentum into the military cooperation and exchange between China and Thailand. Since its first launch in 2010, the "Blue Assault" series of joint naval training between China and Thailand has continuously increased in scale and content, and has developed into a institutionalized cooperation project between the two navies.
