Recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "Outline of the Plan for Building an Education Strong Country (2024-2035)", which clearly proposes to "accelerate the construction of a modern vocational education system, cultivate skilled craftsmen, and high skilled talents in the country". To cultivate the craftsmen of a great country in the new era, we should not only focus on improving students' professional skills, but also pay attention to cultivating their craftsmanship spirit. In this process, higher vocational education is duty bound and has great potential. It is undeniable that some vocational colleges still face problems such as emphasizing explicit achievements in skills and neglecting implicit cultivation of literacy. There is still considerable room for improvement in strengthening the synergy between school enterprise education and humanistic literacy education, as well as in enhancing the systematic, coherent, and vocational adaptability of humanistic literacy education. To solve these problems, we must adapt to local conditions and strive to explore the construction of a new paradigm for humanistic literacy education in vocational colleges in the new era. In the reform of humanistic education in vocational colleges, the integration of industry and education should be taken as the foundation, and the mechanism of school enterprise cooperation should be used as the link to better integrate the cultural genes of traditional craftsmanship spirit with modern vocational education, so as to transform humanistic education from an "additional item" to a "necessary option", achieve the organic unity of professional empowerment and cultural education, and build a new paradigm of humanistic education in vocational colleges with "craftsmanship" characteristics. The educational strategy of "cultivating cultural talents" is the starting point of the new paradigm of humanistic literacy education in vocational colleges, and it is also the concrete manifestation of the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents. The educational content should cover socialist core values, excellent traditional Chinese culture, humanistic spirit, professional spirit, professional culture, etc. A systematic humanistic literacy curriculum system and a coherent extracurricular cultural education path are the common focus of building a new paradigm of humanistic literacy education in vocational colleges. The combination of the two will effectively enhance the vocational adaptability of humanistic literacy education, cultivate students' excellent qualities of "loyalty to duty and serving the country", "diligence and perseverance", "courage to innovate and keep pace with the times", and guide students to grow into high skilled talents in the new era who combine morality and technology. The systematic humanistic literacy curriculum system should cover basic knowledge of humanities literacy such as literature, history, philosophy, and integrate vocational literacy education such as craftsmanship spirit and professional ethics. On the one hand, in public compulsory courses, the cultivation of humanistic literacy is integrated with professional characteristics, and school-based curriculum resources that integrate industry history and craftsmanship spirit cases are developed to cultivate students' craftsmanship spirit, enabling them to have firm work beliefs, strong sense of responsibility, and independent thinking ability. On the other hand, in public elective courses, we should fully explore excellent traditional Chinese cultural resources such as classics, skills, and folk customs, integrate professional culture, craftsmanship culture, and regional culture, strengthen education on advanced socialist culture, revolutionary culture, and excellent traditional Chinese culture, cultivate students' cultural identity, and enhance cultural confidence. The coherent extracurricular cultural education path is a further extension of the humanistic literacy curriculum system, and should actively integrate internal and external resources to contribute to the humanistic literacy curriculum system. For example, through activities such as "Model Workers and Craftsmen Entering Campus", craftsman themed cultural exhibitions, school enterprise joint construction of humanistic training bases, and industry (enterprise) mentor lectures, excellent corporate culture in the region can be integrated into the process of humanistic literacy education, inheriting the "craftsman sentiment" through professional culture, and strengthening students' original intention of serving the country with skills. Further exploration of red cultural resources can be carried out, and a red cultural education system can be constructed through cooperation between government, schools, and enterprises to build museums, cultural centers, and other forms. Red culture can be used to inspire students to pursue their dreams. Building a new paradigm of humanistic literacy education in vocational colleges with "craftsmanship" characteristics, digital transformation is an important focus and an inevitable trend to adapt to the development of modern vocational education. We should integrate digital teaching resources for humanistic literacy courses, establish a humanistic literacy map, form a phased humanistic literacy cultivation index system, achieve a step-by-step promotion of humanistic literacy education, enhance the flexibility of the teaching process, and improve students' learning efficiency. We can fully utilize diversified digital course platforms, AI teaching tools, big data analysis technologies, etc., combined with the characteristics of different majors, to restore real cultural scenes and enhance cultural immersion. In addition, we can explore international education models and take advantage of the opportunity of "vocational education going global" to continuously broaden the international perspective of humanistic education. Technology carries the message, craftsmanship builds dreams. Realizing the organic unity of professional empowerment and cultural education, promoting the updating of the paradigm of humanistic literacy education in vocational colleges, will accelerate the construction of a high-level modern vocational education system, and cultivate more high skilled talents with both morality and technology.
