On the 18th, Chinese Ambassador to North Korea Wang Yajun met with North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Park Myung ho at the Embassy in North Korea. Park Myung ho positively evaluated the traditional friendly relations between North Korea and China, stating that following the lofty will of the top leaders of the two parties and countries and continuously strengthening and developing the friendly relations between North Korea and China is the consistent position of the North Korean side. Park Myung ho stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea and the final year of implementing the five-year plan proposed at the 8th National Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea. It is also the year when China's 14th Five Year Plan comes to an end. We look forward to new and greater achievements in socialist construction between North Korea and China, and hope that both sides can strengthen exchanges and cooperation to promote North Korea China relations to a higher level. Wang Yajun stated that in the past year, under the personal care and strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and countries, China North Korea relations have made new developments. The Chinese Party, government, and people have always cherished the Sino North Korean friendship forged with blood by the older generation of leaders of the two countries. Maintaining, consolidating, and developing the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between China and North Korea has always been China's unwavering policy. Wang Yajun said that in the new year, China is willing to work with the DPRK to implement the important consensus of the top leaders of the two parties and countries, follow the trend of the times and the will of the two peoples, strengthen strategic communication, deepen practical cooperation, promote new and greater development of China DPRK relations, better benefit the two peoples, and make greater contributions to maintaining regional and world peace and stability.
