France announces joint construction of artificial intelligence park with UAE

This park will be located within France, and the power consumption of the data center in the park will reach 1 gigawatt. The communique stated that French President Macron and visiting UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan jointly attended the signing ceremony of the Framework Agreement on Artificial Intelligence Cooperation between France and the UAE on the evening of the 6th. As part of the agreement, the first investment for the artificial intelligence park project will be announced at the 8th "Choose France" International Business Summit in May this year. According to French media reports, this is an artificial intelligence investment project announced before the upcoming Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris. The investment scale of the park may reach 30 billion to 50 billion euros. It is reported that 35 sites covering a total area of approximately 1200 hectares in France are ready for the construction of new data centers. The Artificial Intelligence Action Summit will be held in Paris from February 10th to 11th. Heads of state and government from multiple countries around the world, as well as leaders of international organizations, representatives of enterprises and research institutions, will attend the conference to further deepen global cooperation in artificial intelligence governance.
