By 2024, industrial enterprises above designated size in the province will achieve a revenue of 1.94 trillion yuan, with all 31 major categories of manufacturing, and 15 industries including electronic information manufacturing, automobiles, and electrical machinery ranking first in the country in terms of scale. In 2024, the added value of Guangdong's service industry reached 8.14 trillion yuan, accounting for 11% of the national total, ranking first in the country for 40 consecutive years. The added value of modern service industry accounted for 64.5% of the total added value of the service industry. The construction of modern infrastructure has achieved remarkable results. Nowadays, Guangdong has formed 8 trillion level industrial clusters, including electronic information, light industry and textile, materials, petrochemicals, agriculture and food, home appliances, software and information services, and automobiles. The three advantageous industries of electronic information, petrochemicals, and home appliances continue to lead the country, with added value growth rates of 13.4%, 7.1%, and 5.9% respectively in 2024, establishing a stable foundation for Guangdong's industry. Traditional advantageous industries are expanding in quantity and improving in quality, while emerging industries are flourishing. In Guangdong, emerging industries such as semiconductors and integrated circuits, low altitude economy, intelligent robots, and new energy continue to make new breakthroughs, forming a group of segmented industry clusters with leading comprehensive strength. Integrated circuit production increased by 21%. The low altitude economy is accelerating, with DJI occupying over 80% of the global civilian drone market. EH216-S, developed by Yihang Intelligence, has become the world's first eVTOL to obtain the "three certificates" of airworthiness certification. In 2024, the added value growth rate of intelligent robots and high-end equipment manufacturing industry clusters will reach 32.9% and 6.4% respectively. Guangdong has issued a comprehensive plan for the development of future industries, aiming to implement the "Seven Major Projects" in the "Seven Major Fields" of future intelligence, future life and health, and future energy. The core industry scale of artificial intelligence has reached 180 billion yuan, and the computing power scale and enterprise scale rank first in the country. In the field of embodied intelligence, the provincial innovation center for embodied intelligent robots has launched operations, focusing on key common technologies such as embodied intelligent core components to build pilot and testing platforms. In the field of biomanufacturing, we have pioneered the "innovation upstairs and entrepreneurship downstairs" model, and nearly half of the newly added synthetic biology enterprises in China have settled in Shenzhen in the past three years.
