The New Year's Day parade
The "Cathay New Year International Performance Night" parade on the first night of the New kicked off the Year of the Snake! The grand performance teams, accompanied by magnificent floats, danced and sang along the bustling streets of Tsim Sha Tsui, showcasing essence of traditional festivals and the integration of diverse cultures. The event, with the theme of "Wishing You a Joyful New Year", featured 55 performance, including new additions from France, Argentina, Austria, India, Indonesia, and Thailand, making the lineup even more impressive than last year. In addition to the dynamic with different themes, there were also dazzling local and international performance teams along the way, bringing a unique celebration of the Year of the Snake to the audience

Route of the floats and performance teams: Starting from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Square insim Sha Tsui, the floats and performance teams will proceed along Canton Road, Haiphong Road, and Nathan Road, ending at the Hong Kong Sheraton Hotel
Lunar New Year fireworks display
At 8 p.m. on the second day of the Lunar New Year, a fireworks display will be in Victoria Harbour, with dazzling fireworks blooming in the night sky, painting a moving scene to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Snake.
The fireworks display, themed "Golden Snake Welcomes Spring and Celebrates a Bountiful Year," consists of nine chapters, featuring 23,88 fireworks and lasting about 23 minutes. The sixth chapter, "Adding Happiness and Joy," will see the blooming of six panda heads representing An An Ke Ke, Le Le, Ying Ying, and the two newborn giant pandas.

The third day of the Lunar New Year is the most popular horse racing event in Hong Kong. This year at Sha Tin Racecourse, in addition the exciting races on the track, there is a series of rich festive and reward activities, including traditional lion dance, comprehensive performance, "Feng Shui Avenue"-in, and New Year's delicacies tasting.
