The 46th batch of Chinese Navy escort fleet has completed its mission and returned to Zhanjiang

After completing escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters, the 46th batch of Chinese Navy escort fleet returned to a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong on the 24th. This mission lasted 339 days and nights, with the formation sailing over 160000 nautical miles and crossing three continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe. The 46th escort fleet consists of missile destroyer Jiaozuo, missile escort ship Xuchang, and comprehensive supply ship Honghu. It set sail from Zhanjiang, Guangdong on February 21, 2024 after the cable was untied. During the mission, the formation carefully organized and rigorously carried out escort operations, effectively maintaining the security of international maritime trade channels and regional peace and stability. In addition, the formation also went to Nigeria to participate in multilateral joint exercises, to Russia to attend the 328th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Russian Navy, to South Africa to participate in the International Navy Day, visited Egypt, and made technical stops in South Africa, Morocco, and Seychelles.
