2025-01-25

This is a woodcut New Year painting with the theme of the Year of the Snake, taken on January 20th at Yuchenghao New Year Painting Workshop in Yangliuqing Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin. Yangliuqing woodblock New Year paintings are a national intangible cultural heritage project, adhering to the five traditional processes of "hooking, engraving, printing, painting, and mounting", and have been passed down for more than 400 years. As the Spring Festival of the Year of the Snake approaches, Tianjin Yangliuqing woodblock New Year paintings incorporate elements of the Year of the Snake into their creation. They have launched a series of New Year paintings and cultural and creative products that cater to the theme of the Year of the Snake, using a combination of traditional intangible cultural heritage techniques and modern elements to create a strong New Year atmosphere.
