Yerevan News: The Armenian government approved a bill on the 9th to initiate the process of Armenia's accession to the European Union. Armenian Prime Minister Pashnyan also emphasized that the decision to join the European Union must ultimately be made through a referendum. According to the Asia News Agency, Armenian Foreign Minister Mirzoyan introduced the bill at a government meeting on the same day, saying that in recent years, Armenia and the European Union have carried out in-depth and effective cooperation in the political, economic, and security fields. Pashnyan said at the meeting that Armenia will now discuss with the EU to develop a roadmap that reflects the visions of both sides. (New Society)
