On December 22nd, with the support of the Propaganda and Culture Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of Macau, the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, and the Cultural Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, the original musical "Consistently" celebrating the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, organized by the Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, the Macau Guangzhou Association of Societies, the Macau Chinese Culture and Arts Development Association, the Macau Patriotic Education Youth Association, and the Macau Pui Ching Middle School, was first performed at the Pui Ching Middle School in Macau. More than 400 people attended, including officials from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of Macau, relevant departments of the Macau SAR Government, officials from relevant units in Guangzhou, representatives from various sectors of Macau, representatives of friendly organizations, members of Macau clubs from Guangzhou, teachers and students, alumni, and parents of students from Pui Ching Middle School in Macau.
It is reported that the original musical "Consistently Consistent" celebrates the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, and the 135th anniversary of the founding of Pui Ching Middle School. It closely follows President Xi Jinping's important speeches and important encouragement spirit, shaping a vivid stage image of the three generations of Pui Ching Middle School friends who say "Today we are proud of our motherland, tomorrow our motherland is proud of us". It praises the glorious process of Macau's 25 years of returning to the motherland, walking together with the motherland, integrating into the overall development of the country, and achieving the successful practice model of "One Country, Two Systems". It conveys the beautiful blessings of the new era that "Macau is good, the motherland is good; the motherland is good, Macau is better.
This drama was spontaneously created and independently arranged by members of the Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, the Macao Guangzhou Association of Societies, the Macao Patriotic Education Youth Association, and local young literary and artistic workers in Macao. It comprehensively uses theatrical, vocal, instrumental, dance and other expressive techniques, integrates Eastern and Western music elements and melodic styles, and showcases the emotional journey of Macao actively integrating into the motherland and forging ahead since its return to the motherland 25 years ago. The whole drama is divided into 5 chapters, with a total of 25 songs. Through the affectionate dialogue and interpretation of three generations, it showcases the changes in Macau's situation before the return to China and its stable prosperity after the return, recording the joys and sorrows of people in the tide of the times.
This exhibition not only provides a platform for young people from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau to showcase their talents and realize their dreams, but also deepens their understanding of Chinese culture and history, enhancing their sense of identity and pride in the Chinese nation. At the same time, in the process of creating and rehearsing musicals, it promotes communication and interaction among young people from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, enhances understanding and friendship among young people, and helps them actively integrate into the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the overall development of the country.
It is reported that this musical exhibition is the second touring exhibition of the "Guangzhou Tongxin Garden" cultural exchange brand in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau, following the "My Date with the Motherland" - a tour to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau. It is also a key project to play the role of a cultural bridge and promote deep communication and integration among young people in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau.
