After investigation, the suspect often squats near the duty point of drunk driving set by the traffic police for night inspection. After finding that drunk drivers are investigated by the traffic police, the suspect follows and waits for the opportunity to install GPS locators on the vehicles involved. Afterwards, the suspect closely monitored the movements of vehicles equipped with GPS on a daily basis and followed them when they noticed their movement. If it is found that a person whose driver's license has been revoked or suspended is driving, the suspect intentionally collides with a high-end sedan, causing a traffic accident. After the accident, the suspect seized the victim's fear of being punished and requested to exchange their driver's license for processing at the fast processing and compensation center. Due to the victim's inability to provide a driver's license at the scene, the suspect extorted the victim on the grounds that the cost of repairing a high-end car was as high as tens of thousands of yuan. The police identified 3 criminal gangs, 17 suspect and 10 crimes involving more than 300000 yuan. After collecting sufficient evidence, the police launched a seizure operation and arrested 17 suspect. After interrogation, 17 suspect confessed to the criminal act of extortion, and have been taken criminal coercive measures according to law. (New Society)
