On the afternoon of October 16th local time, the China Latin America Friendship Photo Exhibition hosted by People's Daily opened at the Astronomy Museum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is reported that the China Latin America Friendship Picture Exhibition aims to leverage the power of the media, showcase the fruitful achievements of China Latin America cooperation, and consolidate the strong force of building a China Latin America community with a shared future. Tian Min, Chinese Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, said at the opening ceremony that it is an important mission for the Chinese and Latin American media to tell the true story of China to the Latin American people and show the true image of Latin America to the Chinese people. It is hoped that the media of China and Latin America will further explore the stories of China Latin America friendship, disseminate the achievements of high-quality cooperation on the "the Belt and Road", portray the bright prospects of a community of shared future between China and Latin America, and convey the "voice of China and Latin America" to promote the establishment of a new type of international relations featuring mutual respect, fairness, justice, win-win cooperation and a more just and reasonable global governance system. Renan Ucelli, the director of the Astronomical Museum of Rio de Janeiro, told our reporter that this exhibition confirms that China is establishing good partnerships with Latin American countries, and cooperation in various fields continues to deepen, with infrastructure cooperation being the most prominent. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China. Le Nan believes that cultural activities are one of the best ways to enhance communication and mutual understanding, and hopes that this exhibition can further bring Brazil and China closer together. It is reported that this exhibition displays about 40 pictures, covering the cooperation achievements between China and Latin America in multiple fields such as political mutual trust, economic development, cultural exchange, social progress, and media cooperation. It showcases the struggle and spiritual outlook of the Chinese and Latin American people in helping each other and pursuing a better life together. As a supporting activity of the 2024 China Latin America Media Cooperation Forum, the photo exhibition also exhibited the introduction to the collection of works of the Second International Communication "Silk Road Award" and related contents of the "China Latin America Community of Shared Destiny - the Case of Jointly Building the" the Belt and Road ".
