On the evening of September 4th, the new "Hunan Youth Edition" "The Republic Will Never Forget" created by the Central Youth Work Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party and the Youth Work Committee of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party was staged at the Meixi Lake International Art Center in Changsha, as a tribute to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 60th anniversary of the successful explosion of China's first atomic bomb, and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy. On the evening of September 4th, the "Xiangqing version" of "The Republic Will Never Forget" was staged at the Meixi Lake International Art Center in Changsha. The drama is set against the backdrop of the development of the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" program, with the theme of promoting the spirit of "Two Bombs and One Satellite". It portrays the protagonist Shen Hao's patriotism when he conflicts with his personal aspirations and family responsibilities in his youth, sacrificing his small home for the greater good. It passionately portrays the deeply moving story behind the "Two Bombs and One Satellite -596 Project", reflecting the scientists represented by Shen Hao and Yu Zhifei, who, under the leadership and support of the Party Central Committee, broke through numerous technological blockades and used their wisdom, youth, and life to forge the spirit of loving the motherland, selfless dedication, self-reliance, arduous struggle, and courage to climb mountains. Hunan Chenzhou 711 Mine, Hengyang 712 Mine, and Hengyang 272 Plant are one of the earliest "five plants and three mines" in China's nuclear industry. Since 1958, the vast number of cadres and workers in Hunan have gone incognito and made indelible historical contributions to China's first atomic bomb, first hydrogen bomb, and first nuclear submarine. The "Xiangqing version" play "The Republic Will Never Forget" launched this time incorporates the story behind Hunan's nuclear industry into the overall framework of the plot, making the work more full and vibrant. It is reported that the play "The Republic Will Never Forget" has been performed three times in Shanghai, Shaanxi Province, and Beijing in 2023 and 2024. The "Shanghai Youth Edition", "Shaanxi Youth Edition", and "Beijing Youth Edition" have received enthusiastic social response.
