The Hong Kong Social Welfare Community Heart to Heart Action (referred to as "Heart to Heart") established the "Heart to Heart College" in Hong Kong on the 22nd, aiming to train relevant talents, promote cross sector cooperation, and contribute to the stable and far-reaching development of social welfare work in Hong Kong. At the establishment ceremony, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a speech stating that the Hong Kong government encourages mutual improvement and progress between the social welfare sector in Hong Kong and the mainland's social welfare services. The government has commissioned "Heart to Heart" to organize the "Thousands of Social Workers in Hong Kong View the Motherland" event, arranging for Hong Kong social workers to exchange ideas in the mainland and personally understand the latest developments in the country. The first exchange group was successfully held at the end of May, with 300 participants. In the future, we look forward to "Heart to Heart" continuing to unite the strength of the social welfare sector, explore the path of sustainable development of social welfare, and promote the joint efforts of the social welfare sectors in Hong Kong and mainland China to serve people's livelihoods. Cai Lixin, Deputy Minister of the Central Social Work Department, stated that the establishment of the "Heart to Heart College" is an important measure for "Heart to Heart" to adapt to the development situation and respond to social concerns. It is of great significance to promote innovative development of social welfare in Hong Kong and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of social work between the mainland and Hong Kong. The Central Department of Social Work will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong in the field of social work, and promote the common development of social welfare work. At the event, Sun Yuhan, Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and Guan Haoming, Chairman of the Heart to Heart Action in the Hong Kong social welfare sector, presented appointment letters to Tan Ganlan, Dean of the Heart to Heart College. It is understood that the "Heart to Heart College" will provide continuing education courses for registered social workers, including understanding the social welfare system and elderly care policies in mainland China. On the same day, "Heart to Heart" held a seminar on "Benefiting People's Livelihood and Warming People's Hearts". The Hong Kong Social Welfare Community Heart to Heart Action aims to provide a new platform to open up a new chapter in Hong Kong's social welfare work, unite the Hong Kong social welfare sector, cooperate with various sectors of society, support the work of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, care for the well-being of all Hong Kong citizens, and promote cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland social welfare services.
