2024-08-22
It is reported that 150 medical personnel from Qin'ao have participated in the training of the Qin'ao Medical and Health Training Base. Through a series of training sessions, students have gained a deep understanding of the healthcare system in mainland China, effectively enhancing the professional skills of medical personnel in various fields in Qin'ao. This has continuously promoted the integration and exchange of high-quality medical talents between the two regions, and expanded new opportunities for medical personnel in Macao to practice in the cooperation zone. The Qin'ao Medical and Health Training Base is the first comprehensive medical skills and theoretical training base in China, sponsored by the People's Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone. It is committed to providing various diversified medical training activities for medical personnel in Qin'ao and Qin'ao. The base was officially established on December 6, 2021 and was recognized by the Macau Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in February 2023. At present, the base has been running for nearly three years, and has successfully run two sessions of training, with a total of 33 sessions. The courses cover the theoretical basis of traditional Chinese and western medicine, common diseases in the internal, external, gynecological and paediatric systems of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as diagnostics of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion, prescription, Tonic Diet, and comprehensive laws and regulations of the mainland, as well as doctor-patient communication. The base relies on the rich medical resources of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and surrounding areas, and invites expert teams from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhuhai People's Hospital, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other institutions to provide students with diverse course experiences. Through various methods such as practical skills, outdoor practice, and theoretical consolidation, the base comprehensively enhances the professional level of students and promotes exchanges and cooperation between medical personnel from both regions. In order to further enhance the standardization and authority of medical training in Qin'ao, the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone has established a good cooperation mechanism with the Macao Medical Professional Committee and other departments. Currently, the training courses for six types of medical personnel, including doctors, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, dentists, nurses, radiologists, and medical laboratory technicians, have obtained the Macao Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification. The participation of Macao medical personnel in base training can be included in the corresponding category of CPD credit calculation, greatly improving the participation and enthusiasm of Macao medical personnel. At the same time, by building the "Qin'ao Medical Training" information system, the base has achieved one-stop functions such as course updates, mentor consultation, and registration review, comprehensively optimizing the software and hardware facilities of the base. It is reported that on August 31st of this year, the base will welcome the first course of a new training session, mainly covering basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine, meridians and acupoints, syndrome differentiation and classification, traditional Chinese medicine characteristic therapies, and inviting a mentor team from Zhuhai Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to guide students in mastering techniques, acupoint recognition and other skills in the form of "theory+practice". The new training program spans one year and plans to offer 18 exciting courses covering various fields such as traditional Chinese and Western medicine, dentistry, nursing, radiology, laboratory testing, and laws and regulations. Outdoor practical courses will also be upgraded accordingly. (New Society)
