Leaders in charge of the Guangzhou Municipal Government, main leaders of Liwan District, directly affiliated municipal agencies, relevant departments of the district, municipal state-owned enterprises, relevant industry associations, and planned to settle in enterprises participated in the groundbreaking ceremony. The groundbreaking ceremony of the main factory area of Guangzhou 1935 was held in Liwan District. The revitalization and utilization of the Guangzhou 1935 project is one of the important measures to implement the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's proposal to develop new quality productive forces according to local conditions. The commencement of the renovation of the main factory area is a milestone in the renovation and construction. It is reported that four industrial buildings will be built in the main factory area, focusing on introducing and cultivating specialized and innovative enterprises in "new energy, new technology, and new experience", attracting the gathering of science and technology innovation enterprises, and developing new quality productivity according to local conditions. After the renovation, all industrial relics with Guangzhou characteristics, such as the chimney of the power plant, the production area of the power plant, and the coal transportation yard, will be preserved. At the groundbreaking ceremony, the park will also be built into a multifunctional industrial community that integrates industrial carriers, science and technology sharing, and cultural leisure. It covers multiple functional areas such as industrial accelerators, technology incubators, international investment centers for industrial investment, and historical and cultural ecological corridors, aiming to inject innovative power into regional economic development. After the renovation, industrial relics with Guangzhou characteristics such as the chimney of the power plant, the production area of the power plant, and the coal transportation yard will be fully preserved.
