On August 8th, the 3rd (2024) China International Cultivation Diamond Industry Development and Innovation Conference, an annual global event for the cultivation of the diamond industry, was held in Panyu, Guangzhou, under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Panyu District People's Government, Guangdong Trading Holdings Group Co., Ltd./Guangdong Public Resource Trading Center, and the Guangzhou Diamond Trading Center. The theme of this conference is "Technology Leading · Brilliant Bloom - Co creation and Cultivation of a New Chapter in the Diamond Industry". Through a series of activities such as LGD-IDIC think tank seminars, industry exhibitions and exchanges, industry awards selection, and cultivation of diamond jewelry design competitions, the attending guests conducted in-depth discussions on forward-looking issues such as industry development patterns, international exchanges and cooperation, latest technological progress, brand building, and market trend analysis. Through diversified activity forms, they built a cultivation diamond trading system and a cultivation diamond industry ecosystem, enhanced the brand influence of the Guangdian Diamond Center as a professional trading and comprehensive service platform in the cultivation diamond industry, and promoted the establishment of a stable, growth oriented, and sustainable development of the cultivation diamond industry. At the event, the Guangzhou Diamond Center held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with the Guangzhou Laboratory of the National Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Inspection Group Co., Ltd., the Henan Provincial Cultivation Diamond Trading Center, Henan Sifangda Superhard Materials Co., Ltd., Foshan Jinfusheng Investment Development Co., Ltd., Anhui Youpin New Materials Co., Ltd., and Zall Gold Group regarding the strategic cooperation of the China Cultivation Diamond Industry Alliance. The center also engaged in school enterprise strategic cooperation with Guangzhou Panyu Vocational and Technical College and the Jewelry College of Guangzhou City University of Technology, aiming to gather resources from both inside and outside the industry, promote in-depth cooperation in the research and testing of the cultivation diamond industry, domestic and international transactions, live broadcast promotion, talent education and incubation, and other areas of the entire industry chain, enrich the comprehensive service system of the cultivation diamond industry, and help the cultivation diamond industry achieve high-quality development. Panyu District is a gathering place for world-renowned jewelry brands and the largest jewelry production and manufacturing base in China. 30% of the world's jewelry and 70% of the jewelry in Hong Kong and Macao are produced in Panyu. In recent years, Panyu District has fully leveraged its strong foundation in the jewelry industry, complete industrial chain, and abundant cultural, tourism, and commercial resources to comprehensively enhance the visibility and international influence of "World Jewelry · Panyu Intelligent Manufacturing", promote the formation of a benchmark for the integration of culture, commerce, and travel in the jewelry industry, and assist Guangzhou in building an international consumption center city and fashion capital. We have successively introduced policies and measures to promote the transformation and upgrading of the jewelry industry and high-quality development in the district. Focusing on the positioning of Guangzhou as an international consumption center city, we have promoted industry-leading projects such as Shawan Treasure Town, Daluotang Jewelry Agglomeration Zone, Guangdong Jewelry and Jade Trading Center, Guangzhou Diamond Trading Center, etc. to lead the coordinated development of the industry chain. We support the establishment of design, new product research and development, and new brand incubation centers, strengthen the intelligent technology operation of the production end in fields such as robotics, diamond processing, and 3D printing, and promote jewelry enterprises to upgrade from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing". In addition, Panyu District actively promotes the permanent settlement of the China International Diamond Industry Development and Innovation Conference in Panyu, and organizes jewelry companies to participate in professional exhibitions such as the China International Jewelry Exhibition, Hong Kong Jewelry Exhibition, and China (Guangzhou) International Beauty Expo, in order to empower the global diamond industry and polish the "Chinese window".
