On July 25th, guests presided over the opening ceremony of the 2024 Guangdong Macao Famous Products Exhibition. The 2024 Guangdong Macao Famous Products Exhibition, jointly organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Investment Promotion Bureau and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, was unveiled on the 25th at the Macao Golden Light Exhibition and Convention Center. On the first day of the exhibition, 16 signed projects were arranged, including the Greater Bay Area Education Cooperation Agreement reached between the Macau Convention and Exhibition Association and the International Exhibition Industry Association. At the same time, many professional businessmen from the mainland, Macao, and countries and regions jointly built along the "the Belt and Road" attended the exhibition. Li Weinong, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR Government, stated in his opening speech that "innovation" is the core of this exhibition. As the largest Guangdong Macao famous commodity exhibition over the years, it is the first time to add three elements of "hotel equipment and services", "intelligent equipment" and "China-Chic". This year, 70% of the companies in Guangdong Province participated in the exhibition for the first time, and more professional merchants and buyers from the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area were also invited to participate in the exhibition in Australia, deepening the role of "attracting investment through exhibitions" and driving more innovative opportunities. Sun Bin, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, stated that the trade volume between Guangdong and Macao increased by 26% year-on-year in the first half of this year. This time, over 200 high-quality enterprises were carefully organized to participate in the exhibition, covering fields such as smart device supplies and hotel equipment supplies, which are highly compatible with Macau's advantageous industries. With a total area of more than 12000 square meters, this exhibition focuses on the "1+4" industry, and sets up six exhibition areas, including famous and high-quality goods in Guangdong Province, special goods in Macao, "the Belt and Road", hotel equipment and services, intelligent equipment, and China-Chic. There are 501 exhibition spaces, an increase of about 10% compared to last year. The 4-day exhibition will prepare over 50 exciting activities, including Chinese costume performances, culinary performances, product promotions, live broadcasts, as well as multiple business matching sessions and forums.
