The Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum jointly organized a special exhibition titled "Flowing Light and Brightening Colors - Ming Dynasty Ceramic Treasures in the Palace Museum Collection", showcasing 106 ceramic treasures in the Palace Museum Collection, showcasing the development and outstanding achievements of Ming Dynasty ceramic craftsmanship. This exhibition showcases the unique categories of collections in the Palace Museum, showcasing the history and culture of the Ming Dynasty and the wisdom of ceramic craftsmen, allowing audiences to experience the unique charm and profound cultural connotations of Chinese ceramic art. The Palace Museum will continue to maintain close cooperation with the Hong Kong Palace Museum, sharing cultural achievements, promoting exchange and dialogue, and depicting a diverse and interactive landscape of cultural exchange. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Tan Yunzhi, pointed out that the Hong Kong Palace Museum shoulders the mission of promoting research and appreciation of Chinese culture and art, as well as promoting dialogue among different civilizations. The museum is honored to cooperate with the Palace Museum and leverage Hong Kong's advantages in connecting the world, hoping to become a gateway for Chinese culture and art to go global. It is reported that ceramics are a major type of collection in the Palace Museum. Among the more than 1.86 million collections in the museum, ceramic cultural relics account for over 360000, inheriting the imperial collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Among them, the Ming Dynasty was one of the most prosperous periods in the development history of Chinese ceramics. Porcelain was of excellent quality, colorful and popular worldwide, becoming an important carrier for cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and foreign countries. This exhibition selects over 100 representative Ming Dynasty ceramic treasures from the Palace Museum, including 21 national first-class cultural relics, including Hongwu glazed red pine, bamboo, plum, jade pot, spring bottle, orthodox blue and white alum, red sea water dragon pattern plate, Chenghua Doucai Three Autumn Cup, and Wanli colorful lotus pond flower and bird picture garlic bottle.
