On the 4th, the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government held a "Caring for Home Country" celebration for the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and a joint national education event, showcasing the achievements of this academic year's "Caring for Home Country" activity. The performance on that day was the finale of the "Heart of Family 2.0" series, with over 300 students participating in performances, including flag raising ceremony and Chinese style step exercises by the joint school flag raising team, as well as music, dance, martial arts, recitation, and drama performances. Over 1000 representatives from the Education Bureau, educational organizations, school councils, principal associations, family school cooperation committees, and schools attended the event. The Acting Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Cheuk Wing hing, delivered a speech stating that the country is advancing towards the goal of prosperity and strength at a high speed. We are at a glorious moment in the history of our country, and we should seize the opportunities before us, find our own stage, pursue our dreams, and contribute our strength to the country, Hong Kong, and even the human world. It is reported that this academic year's "Heart for Home Country" joint school national education activity has become more large-scale and diversified compared to last year, with 25000 participants. The event aims to enhance students' understanding of Chinese culture and national development, and further promote national education through the inheritance and experience of Chinese culture with themes such as outstanding historical figures, culinary culture, tea art, and ancient poetry and literature. The Education Bureau of the Special Administrative Region Government will continue to promote the "Caring for Home Country" joint school national education activities in the 2024/2025 academic year, organize more diverse learning activities, promote national education, and cultivate young people to become a new generation with quality, social responsibility, national consciousness, and Hong Kong sentiment.
