The export value of goods from Hong Kong in May increased by 14.8% year-on-year. According to foreign trade statistics released by the Statistics Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government on the 25th, the overall export and import value of Hong Kong in May 2024 increased by 14.8% and 9.6% year-on-year, respectively. Statistics show that the overall export value of goods in the first five months of 2024 increased by 12.5% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the value of imported goods increased by 7.4%. On the 25th, the Huachuang Forum, hosted by Huachuang United and with the theme of "Science and Technology Innovation Hong Kong Smart Alliance Global", was held in Hong Kong to attract high-tech enterprises to land. Overseas researchers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Belgium and other countries discussed the possibility of landing projects in Hong Kong. Huachuang United was registered and established in Hong Kong last year, jointly initiated by Chinese technology groups from 12 countries, with the aim of building a cooperation platform for global Chinese technology elites and promoting international exchanges and cooperation. The Second Cross Strait Green, Low Carbon, and Circular Development Industry Technology Exchange Conference kicked off on the 25th in Changsha, Hunan Province. The exchange meeting focuses on green and low-carbon industries across the Taiwan Strait, with more than 150 experts, scholars, business representatives, and young people from both sides gathering together to exchange experiences and discuss the theme of "green innovation drives cooperation and co creates the future", build a platform for cross-strait exchange and cooperation, and promote the integration and development of scientific and technological innovation across the Taiwan Strait.
