According to the Information Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, on June 10th, the Chief Executive of Macao, He Yicheng, met with the Minister of Justice of Portugal, Rita Alarc? O J ú dice, at the headquarters of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The two sides discussed promoting cooperation and exchange of opinions between Macao and Portugal in the fields of justice, economy and trade. He Yicheng introduced to Rudi Sai that the Macao Special Administrative Region is focusing on building the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (referred to as the "Shenzhen Cooperation Zone") to assist in the moderate and diversified development of the Macao economy. He stated that the civil and commercial rules of the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone are orderly connecting with Macau, and the future development prospects are broad. He hopes that Macau and Portugal will continue to deepen their exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, tourism and culture, healthcare, and education, and encourage Portuguese technology and health enterprises to seek business opportunities in Macau and the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone and work together for development. He Yicheng stated that since the nearly 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the "One Country, Two Systems" policy and the Macao Basic Law have been strictly implemented, and various legislative work has been carried out based on the existing laws and according to their own needs. He thanked the Portuguese Ministry of Justice for its strong support in hiring Portuguese judges and prosecutors for the SAR government. Rudice stated that the Portuguese Ministry of Justice is committed to promoting judicial cooperation between Portugal and the Macau SAR, and she appreciates the work of Portuguese judges, prosecutors, and legal professionals in the Macau SAR. She thanked the Macau SAR government for continuously promoting Portuguese language education in Macau and looked forward to using Macau as a platform to connect Portuguese speaking countries and China, continuously deepening friendly relations between Portugal and China.
