Hong Kong Holds "Patriotic Love Hong Kong Love Community" Mascot Creation Competition

The Patriotic Education Working Group under the Supervision Committee for the Promotion of the Constitution and Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 30th that a mascot creation and logo design competition will be held under the theme of "Patriotism, Love for Hong Kong and Love for Communities". Students from primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions will be invited to participate in the competition to enhance the patriotic awareness and sentiment of young people, promote the mainstream values centered on patriotism and love for Hong Kong, and align with the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Committee for the Promotion and Supervision of the Constitution and Basic Law, and the Secretary for Home Affairs, Chan Kwok kee, stated that patriotic education is a gradual and meticulous work that should be integrated into students' daily learning and life in a fun and diverse way. I hope that through this competition, we can promote young people to showcase the spirit of "patriotism, love for Hong Kong, and love for the community" in creative and artistic ways, so that patriotic education can better spread throughout the campus and take root in the hearts of the next generation. Li Huiqiong, the leader of the Patriotic Education Working Group, stated that youth are the future and pillars of society, and are one of the important targets of patriotic education. She encourages students to actively participate in this competition and unleash their creativity by creating unique mascots and symbols to express their patriotism, love for Hong Kong, and love for the community, thereby strengthening their sense of belonging to the country and national identity. The "Patriotic Love Hong Kong Love Community" mascot creation and logo design competition is organized by the Patriotic Education Working Group and hosted by the Hong Kong Dagong Wen Hui Media Group. All winners will receive certificates, and the champions, runners up, and third place winners will receive annual tickets to the Hong Kong Palace Museum. (Lai Xin She)
