The Second Military Court of the Western Theater Command launched the "Civil Code Propaganda Month" activity. According to the editor, May of this year is the fourth "Civil Code Propaganda Month". During the "Civil Code Propaganda Month" event, military civilian cooperation carried out legal education activities through various forms, integrating legal education into grassroots governance and the daily lives of officers and soldiers, and bringing the Civil Code to the side and heart of officers and soldiers. Recently, in military camps located in the northwest of our country, exciting and diverse legal education activities are unfolding. On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the promulgation of the Civil Code, military judges from the four provinces (regions) of Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Xinjiang came to the stationed officers and soldiers to carry out the "Civil Code Propaganda Month" activity with the theme of "Entering the Military Camp and Drawing Circles". "Can an 8-year-old child drink soy sauce?" When Hou Jia, a judge of the Second Military Court of the Western Theater Command, conducted a special education on the topic of "Familiarity with the Chinese Circle of the Classic and the Strategy for Defending Rights" in a certain security service detachment, he used a simple question to help officers and soldiers understand what natural people's behavioral abilities are. After class, officers and soldiers expressed that real-life cases not only familiarize everyone with specific legal provisions, but also strengthen their legal thinking. Since the deployment of the Second Military Court of the Western Theater Command at the end of April to carry out the theme propaganda activities of the Civil Code, a total of 56 grassroots military courts, together with local court judges, lawyers, and military prosecutors, have been mobilized to travel through the Gobi and high-altitude areas, border defense, and outposts, with a total travel distance of more than 8000 kilometers. They have donated 13000 sets of legal propaganda materials to 21 units at or above the regimental level, provided more than 430 legal consulting services, conducted 25 special education and guidance sessions, and educated more than 42000 officers and soldiers. In the vast Gobi Desert, the judge of the Lanzhou Military Court of the People's Liberation Army walked for more than 10 hours into a certain air force base, preaching the Civil Code around social hotspots, and telling officers and soldiers the key and difficult points of using legal weapons to resolve disputes. The court's "1+X" service model, which includes military judges preaching the Civil Code as a compulsory course, military prosecutors providing warning education, and local judges providing litigation guidance, has effectively improved the effectiveness of legal education. In the snowy plateau, the Xining Military Court of the People's Liberation Army has launched the "One Code Pass of the Civil Code", where officers and soldiers can scan to gain a detailed understanding of legal knowledge related to themselves; Offline, they popularize legal knowledge related to marriage, family disputes, and private lending through various forms such as special lectures, exhibition board explanations, and on-site Q&A, effectively bringing the Civil Code to the side and heart of officers and soldiers. At the border outpost, the Urumqi Military Court of the People's Liberation Army, in conjunction with the Military Procuratorate, the Local People's Court, and the Lawyers Association, went deep into the military to carry out the "Four Ones" propaganda activities with the content of "organizing a civil code lecture, giving a batch of legal education products, visiting a legal corridor, and answering a batch of legal consultations.". The carefully prepared comic books, playing cards, and other civil code promotional gift packages by the hospital are deeply loved by officers and soldiers. The President of the Second Military Court of the Western Theater Command, Zuo Shi, stated, "Carrying out the popularization and publicity of the Civil Code in the military is a practical measure of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Military Commission to implement the strategy of governing the military according to law and promote the transformation of military governance methods. The military court is not only a military judicial organ, but also an important institution for promoting the rule of law in the military. It should actively contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a rule of law military camp." (Xinhua)
