On the 21st, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, met with Liu Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in Hong Kong to exchange views on further promoting cooperation between Hong Kong and Guangxi. Li Jiachao stated that Hong Kong has always played a positive role in promoting high-quality development in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Guangxi can take advantage of Hong Kong's advantages as a central city in the Greater Bay Area, seize the opportunities brought by the construction of the Greater Bay Area, further promote cooperation with cities in the Greater Bay Area, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Li Jiachao pointed out that Guangxi is the "bridgehead" for countries facing ASEAN, and ASEAN has long been Hong Kong's second largest trading partner. He believes that Hong Kong's trade and investment ties with ASEAN will continue to expand, while playing an important role in promoting Guangxi's foreign trade, mutual benefit, and unlimited business opportunities.
