Liaoning is an important birthplace and foundation of industrial literature in New China. On the 16th, the launch ceremony of the new era Liaoning literature "locomotive" creation plan and the "Literary Masters Liaoning Tour" activity were held in Shenyang. Zhang Hongsen, Secretary of the Party Group, Vice Chairman, and Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association, pointed out in his speech that Liaoning is a literary province with an important position and influence in the history of new Chinese literature. The novel "Locomotive" by writer Cao Ming, which depicts the development of Shenyang's industry, is the foundational work of industrial literature in the Republic of China. The Liaoning Writers Association is named after the "locomotive" and drives the creation of industrial literature in Liaoning Province. It is of great significance to leverage the advantages of Liaoning's cultural resources and empower the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China. It also has an important demonstration effect on promoting the creation of industrial literature nationwide and promoting the high-quality development of literature in the new era. Liu Huiyan, member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Propaganda, said at the launch ceremony that Liaoning is the industrial foundation of the Republic of China and has contributed more than 1000 national firsts to China's industry. Similarly, Liaoning is also a major hub for contemporary industrial literature creation. From the pioneering work of literary predecessors such as Cao Ming and Li Yunde to the persistent cultivation of a large number of Liaoning writers today, the creative tradition of industrial literature has been well inherited here. We look forward to creating fruitful results through the "Locomotive" program, showcasing the magnificent scene of the Phoenix Nirvana in the old industrial base, and artistically condensing and sublimating the indomitable spirit of the people of Liaoning who are brave enough to revitalize and dare to make breakthroughs. Famous writer and winner of the Mao Dun Literature Award, Liang Xiaosheng, delivered a speech at the launch ceremony, hoping to create a work that would allow young people to understand the past industrial history, and enable the first and second generation workers who followed the pace of the Republic's industry from young, middle-aged to old to look back and summarize their life values through this work. Liaoning writer representative Liu Guoqiang stated in his speech that he should inherit and carry forward the good tradition of the older generation of writers immersing themselves in life and expressing their enthusiasm for the people, actively immerse themselves in the magnificent life, create excellent works with vivid characters, superior ideas, and artistic recognition, and contribute literary strength to the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning. After the ceremony, literary masters conducted discussions on "Empowering Liaoning Revitalization with Industrial Literature". The "Journey of Literary Masters to Liaoning" event will respectively visit Shenyang, Anshan, and Dalian, and conduct on-site research in Shenyang Aviation Expo Park, Shenyang Drum Group, Ansteel Group, and other places, to experience the weight and vitality of the old industrial base in Northeast China up close, and accumulate materials for writing about the revitalization and development of Liaoning.
