On the 18th, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, met with the Governor of Guangdong Province, Wang Weizhong, at the Protocol House in Hong Kong to have extensive exchanges on topics such as further strengthening Guangdong Hong Kong cooperation and promoting high-quality development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Li Jiachao stated that the SAR government attaches great importance to Hong Kong's better integration into the overall development of the country and its proactive alignment with national strategic arrangements. The current SAR government has established a "Integration into the National Development Overall Supervision Group" to oversee the work of integration into the national development overall situation, as well as regional cooperation between the SAR and various provinces and cities in the mainland. Li Jiachao said that the SAR government will continue to actively maintain close communication with relevant central departments and the Guangdong Provincial Government, and strengthen the publicity and interpretation of multiple important planning documents issued by the central government to promote the construction of the Greater Bay Area. The SAR government will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, striving to further connect the flow of people, logistics, funds, and information within the Greater Bay Area, and promote wider and deeper connectivity within the Greater Bay Area.
